One of my favorite things to do as a writer on a Saturday morning is to get up, make my cup of coffee, collect my laptop and books, then climb back into bed with all of it…and the kitties…and settle in for a couple hours. For some reason I was up at 6:30 this morning, so that’s exactly what I did and it was still only 9 when I finally got up to have breakfast and start my day.
I spent the rest of the day in Napa with family celebrating the many May birthdays. Singing to all the songs on the drive and soaking in the beauty of the day was good for the spirit. I even thought of some new scenes for my second book. They are starting to come to me now…a good sign…in bits of dialogue and small movie clips of scenery and interactions.

That view looks like it’s off River Road on the way to Gurerneville. Looking towards Windsor you can always see magnificent cloud formations. :O)

It does, doesn’t it? It was actually near Hwy 29 in Napa…but your excellent point proves that Sonoma County is every bit as gorgeous as Napa.

Quite true, and why everyone wants to come to both areas. The wine country has so many marvelous views.
